Subject: Needha-Chairs E-Mail List
Recently the needha-chairs e-mail list was converted to a 'majordomo'
mailing list. This is good news for those of you who wish to subscribe or
unsubscribe without waiting for a human operator to respond.
It is not meant to create a stumbling block. If you do not wish to use the
majordomo commands, send your request (as always) to: needha-update@ieee.org
and your request will be processed as quickly as possible.
FYI... All outstanding requests have been processed.
Below I have tried to anticipate your questions. Please let me know if you
need additional assistance.
1. As a member of NEEDHA, can I send a message to the other members of the
NEEDHA chairs list, or do I have to be someone special to broadcast a message?
Anyone can send to the list. This list in not resticted in any way.
2. How do I send to the Needha Chairs list?
Send an e-mail message to: needha-chairs@ieee.org
Your message will be forwarded to all list members
3. Do I need a password to send to the list?
No password is necessary.
4. What do I do to get on or off the list?
The needha-chairs e-mail list is now a 'majordomo' mailing list.
This means that you can subscribe and unsubscribe yourself to the list.
Send your message to: majordomo@majordomo.ieee.org
No subject is required.
In the first line of the body of your message include the commands that you
need.
For example:
subscribe needha-chairs psmith@college.edu
or
unsubscribe needha-chairs jdoe@university.edu
You may only subscribe or unsubscribe yourself.
I have attached some 'majordomo' commands below. If you require assistance,
send e-mail to needha-update@ieee.org. I will assist you.
5. If your e-mail address changes, you can subscribe your new address to
the list and unsubscribe the old one. If you have difficulty unsubscribing
the old address, send to: needha-update@ieee.org and I can do it for you.
6. When my term as chair is over, what does my successor do to join the list?
You should send a message to unsubscribe yourself from the list and
your successor should then send a message to subscribe himself.

7. What do I do if I'm having trouble and don't know what to do?
